Why do we need Sermon Companion if we already have a CD/tape ministry?
Sermon Companion is a great supplement to an active CD and tape ministry. Sermon Companion provides a way for your church members and visitors to have instant access to your complete library of online sermons without having to purchase any CDs or tapes.

How can I link to Sermon Companion from my own website?
A unique web address is assigned to each Sermon Companion account. Use this web address (URL) to put a link on your website. Sermon Companion supports both framed and non-framed web pages.

Can I make my own CD of a sermon from Sermon Companion?
Yes, if you have a CD R/W drive and software installed on your computer. The sermon must first be downloaded to your computer, then it can be copied to a CD using software such as Windows Media Player.

Can I order CDs of sermons on Sermon Companion and have them shipped to my home?
This service is not available at this time. If you are interested in this capability, please click on the “Contact Us” link and let us know.

Does Sermon Companion backup the sermons that are uploaded?
Yes.

Can I download sermons from Sermon Companion and save them on my computer?
Yes, sermons may be downloaded and stored on your computer. To do so, first click on the sermon name, then click on the “Download Sermon” link that appears below the Window Media Player display. If the sermon plays instead of downloading after clicking this link, right-click on the link, then select “Save Target As…”.

How many users can download sermons from Sermon Companion simultaneously?
I don’t know, but so far we haven’t been able to break it.

Will it work with dialup?
Yes, listening to audio sermons with a dialup connection works. Uploading sermons with a dialup connection, however, is not recommended due to the long upload times.

Can I upload a video file of a sermon?
Yes, this feature is now available.

How do I cancel my account?
To cancel your account, you must contact our sales department using the ‘Contact Us’ link on the main page. Please include the name of your church and your username with your correspondence.

What type of computer or internet connection is necessary to listen to sermons online?
Any computer with the ability to connect to the internet and run Adobe Flash Player can be used. This includes both Mac and windows-based computers. Dialup, DSL, or broadband (high-speed) internet connections will all work.

What happens to previously uploaded sermons if I cancel my account?
Your sermons will be made available for access by the administrator only for a period of 30 days after cancellation. After 30 days, the sermons will be removed from our servers.

Can I add topic keywords to my sermon for searching purposes?
Yes, churches have the ability to add keywords to their sermons so that their listeners can quickly find relevant audio that they may be searching for.

Do I need any special software to listen to an uploaded sermon?
Sermon Companion uses Adobe Flash Player to play sermons. If you do not already have Adobe Flash Player installed on your computer, you can download it free from

What audio file format can be uploaded?
Any audio file in MP3 format can be uploaded into your Sermon Companion account.

How long does it take to upload a sermon?
Sermon Companion provides an upload status monitor that displays the elapsed time and estimated completion time while the file is being uploaded. Specific upload time varies depending on your internet connection speed and the size of the audio file. For example, a 55 minute sermon with a file size of 50.7 megabytes can be uploaded in 15 minutes using a 256kbit/s upload speed (a typical broadband upload speed). Note that your broadband upload speed is typically slower than the advertised download speed.

The number of users that can access and download sermons from Sermon Companion is unlimited.

Is there any charge to download or listen to sermons from Sermon Companion?
No! Downloading and/or listing to sermons already stored on a valid Sermon Companion account is absolutely free.

Is there a way to view the sermon text while listening?
Yes, this feature is coming soon. Users will have the ability to view Pastor's sermon notes or outlines in a PDF, Word or PowerPoint format if the church chooses to utilize this feature.

Your sermons will be accessible to anyone with an internet connection. A unique web address is assigned to each Sermon Companion account. This web address can be linked to from your own website, or can be typed into the address field of your browser.
